Washing machine flooded my basement laundry room Tuesday morning.

Woke up to water seeping under the door. Opened it up and there was an inch of standing water. Turned out the drain hose had popped off the standpipe. I must have bumped it moving boxes yesterday. Spent 45 minutes with a shop vac and towels. At least no damage to the drywall. Anyone else had a random appliance fail that turned into a quick fix?

Honestly I used to roll my eyes at people who talked about checking hoses and connections. But this exact thing happened to me last year and it was a huge wake up call about how fast a small problem can turn into a mess. Now I give those little rubber hoses a quick look every few months just to be safe.

Dripped coolant all over my garage floor before I figured out it was just a loose clamp lol.
