Wasted $400 on a "remanufactured" injector that failed in 3 months
Bought a set of reman injectors from a place in Phoenix that claimed to match OEM specs. One started misfiring after 400 miles. Pulled it out and the nozzle was visibly scored. Took the whole thing apart and found they just cleaned the old ones and swapped the solenoids. No new nozzle tips at all. Shop refused to warranty it because I "installed it wrong". Never again. Anyone else had bad luck with reman parts from places that aren't Bosch or a big name?

Yeah "crappy reman parts" is way too real. I spent a whole weekend putting in a reman alternator last year only for it to die three months later. Had to do the whole job again and it was such a waste of time and money. Some of those rebuilds are just cleaned up with new bearings and they don't even bother checking the windings properly. It's crazy how hit or miss they can be when you're just trying to save a few bucks.
