My stylus pen died mid-demo at an art show and I had to switch to finger painting on the tablet
Last Saturday I was showcasing a digital landscape piece at a local gallery in Portland. Right as I was showing the crowd how I layer clouds, my stylus just stopped working. Battery dead, no backup with me. So I just used my finger to finish the demo on the screen. It actually worked okay for rough blends but I couldn't get the fine details. Has anyone else had their gear fail in the middle of a live showcase and had to improvise?

Isn't it funny how the things we rely on the most always seem to fail at the worst possible moment? I've noticed this pattern in everyday life too, like when your phone dies right as you need to show someone a map or a recipe. It's like the universe is testing how well we can adapt on the fly, and honestly, finger painting a demo sounds like a pretty solid save to me.

Oh come on, @the_kevin, I gotta disagree - if my tech dies right when I need it most, that's usually my own fault for not planning ahead or keeping backups, not the universe testing me. Finger painting a demo might be charming in the moment, but it's just a Band-Aid on a problem better solved by charging your phone the night before.
