Picked Procreate over Photoshop for my last 3 commissions and it's honestly been messing with my workflow

So I've been doing digital pet portraits for about 2 years now. Always used Photoshop because that's what I learned on. But last month I got an iPad and figured I'd try Procreate since everyone raves about it. First two commissions went fine, simple stuff. But the third one was this detailed golden retriever with all these wispy fur layers. Procreate's layer limit hit me hard around frame 40. Had to merge stuff I didn't want to merge. Ended up finishing it but the file was a nightmare. Now I'm thinking I need to go back to Photoshop for the complex stuff and keep Procreate for sketches. Anyone else bounce between programs like this or do you commit to one?

Oh man, I switched apps midproject once and ended up with a fur layer soup I still don't talk about.

Fur layer soup" ugh, that's a classic @theathomas, happens when you rush the process.
