Rant: I always thought digital art was just for young people
I was reading an article on ArtStation yesterday and it said over 40% of professional digital artists are actually over 35. I'm 42 and just started learning Procreate last year, feeling like I was way behind. That stat made me realize this field has way more people like me than I thought. Anyone else start digital art later in life and feel surprised by the community?

Wait, over 40% are over 35? That's actually wild, I totally bought into the whole "it's a kid's thing" vibe too. Makes me feel way better about being in my 30s and still just messing around with brushes. The internet really sells this image that if you didn't start as a teen you're already done for.

That stat is a real eye opener. Picked up a tablet at 45 myself and felt the same way, but you find your people. The digital art world is way more varied age wise than it looks from the outside.
