inMy sourdough starter just gave up on me after 8 months
My friend's starter did that once, and she actually got it back by feeding it with pineapple juice for a few days (sounds weird, I know).

inRant: I always thought digital art was just for young people
Wait, over 40% are over 35? That's actually wild, I totally bought into the whole "it's a kid's thing" vibe too. Makes me feel way better about being in my 30s and still just messing around with brushes. The internet really sells this image that if you didn't start as a teen you're already done for.

inMy sister said she keeps a 'done list' instead of a to-do list in her journal
Totally stealing this idea from your sister. My old to-do lists were just guilt trips written down, with half the stuff never getting done. Now my notebook has things like "finally changed that lightbulb" and "ate lunch away from my desk." It sounds silly but seeing a list of what you actually did is way better than staring at what you didn't.

inA quick trick for keeping ranunculus stems from curling in the bucket
My mom's had tulips in a vase for 20 years and just uses tap water. They stand up fine. Maybe it's the type of flower, ryan_sanchez, or just overthinking it. Seems like a lot of work for something that dies in a week anyway.

inI finally hit 300 hours on my new orbital sander and it changed my whole view on tool life
That's the kind of mistake you only make twice, I guess. He spent more on two dead sanders than he would have on a good shop vac. It's wild how the simplest maintenance gets ignored until it costs you real money. You almost want to see the look on his face when he finally pulled that clogged filter out. Bet he felt like a genius for figuring it out and a total fool at the same time.
