Can we talk about the time I learned to pack a real emergency kit in Medellin?

My laptop charger blew out during a storm there last year, and I lost a full day of work because I couldn't find a replacement until the next morning. Now I always carry a backup universal adapter and a spare charging cable in my bag, no matter what. What's the one piece of gear you won't travel without anymore?

My power bank saved me in Bangkok when the whole block lost electricity. It's glued to my passport now.

Glued to your passport, huh? Guess that makes it your official backup power ambassador. Just don't try to charge it at the check-in desk.

Man, that's smart. I got stuck in Rome once with a dead phone and no way to find my hotel. Total nightmare. Now I keep a tiny charger in my bag at all times. It's not even fancy, just holds one full charge. That thing is a lifesaver.
