Chose a slow wifi cafe over a coworking space in Medellin, zero regrets

I was stuck deciding between a $200/month desk at a fancy coworking spot in El Poblado or just camping at this tiny cafe near Envigado with $2 coffee refills. I picked the cafe because I hated the idea of committing to a lease while my client work is so unpredictable. First week the internet dropped twice during calls, but I made friends with the owner and he lets me use his backup router now. Has anyone else traded comfort for character and found it actually works better for their workflow?
