Met a guy in a coworking space in Chiang Mai who changed how I work

Last month I was grinding away at a noisy coworking spot in Chiang Mai when this older dude next to me just asked 'you actually like what you do?' out of nowhere. He wasn't trying to be rude, just genuine. We talked for like 20 minutes about how he left corporate IT to teach English in Vietnam and now lives off way less but sleeps better. It got me thinking hard about my own remote setup. Anyone else had a random conversation that made them rethink their whole digital nomad path?

Ngl, living off less sounds romantic until your laptop breaks and you can't afford a new one.

@barbaraschmidt fair but maybe fixing stuff instead of replacing is the real flex.
