Tried coworking in a coffee shop in Chiang Mai for a week and my productivity tanked
I thought the vibe would be awesome but the wifi kept dropping and I spent more time ordering drinks than actually working. Anyone else find specific spots just don't work for them no matter how trendy they look?

Oh come on, people act like finding the perfect work spot is some life or death mission. It's coffee and a laptop, not open heart surgery. The wifi dropped, big deal. Most cafes have backup hotspots or you can just tether your phone for a minute. And ordering drinks? That takes literally 30 seconds unless you're ordering a full brunch spread every time. Maybe the real issue is that coworking in a cafe is just a way to feel productive without actually doing the work. I've worked in loud diners, empty libraries, and my own cluttered kitchen and the difference is always about whether you actually want to get stuff done, not where you sit.

Yeah the whole coffee shop thing is kind of overrated for actual work, wifi is usually the weak link there. You're better off hitting a proper coworking space where the internet is built for laptops not lattes.
