Warning: I booked a $6 hostel in Bangkok for a month and it wrecked my work
Trying to save cash, I took a bottom bunk in a 10 person dorm off Khao San Road for 30 nights at $6 a night. I figured I would work from cafes during the day and just sleep there, but the 2am party crowd kept me up most nights and my client calls turned into me sounding half dead. After two weeks I moved to a private room in Ari for $19 a night and my output basically doubled. Has anyone else noticed their sleep quality matters way more than the cost savings when picking a base?
