Chose the accessible entrance over the stairs today and got weird looks

Had to pick between the main stairs at my apartment complex or the side ramp they built for wheelchairs. I use a cane and the ramp adds an extra 5 minutes to my walk. Picked the ramp because stairs hurt my knee after 3 steps. A neighbor literally said "you don't need that" as I walked past. Anyone else get judged for choosing the more accessible option even when you clearly have a reason?
