Just found out in a 2021 Census report that only about 1 in 4 disabled adults in the US has a job, and I had to sit down

Sitting down is right, that number hit me hard too when I first saw it. What helped me was getting hooked up with a state vocational rehab program, they paid for training and even helped with the cost of some equipment I needed. Took a few tries to find someone there who actually listened instead of just pushing me toward whatever job was easy to fill. My advice is keep asking for a different counselor if the first one does not get it, because the right one can make a real difference. The system is rough but there are people in it who want to help, you just have to dig around sometimes.
