My zucchini grew into a literal twisty shape like a telephone cord

I tried growing a weird hybrid zucchini seed I got from a swap last spring. Instead of a normal veggie, it came out all spiraled and knobby like something from another planet. Tasted fine but looked SO strange I kept it on my shelf for a month. Has anyone else had a mutant veggie do something totally unexpected?

Ended up pickling one all twisted like that. Looked wild in the jar.

It's funny how nature throws these little curveballs, isn't it? I've noticed that with all kinds of produce, the weirdest looking ones often end up being the best eating. Like when you find a carrot that's all forked and twisted, it usually tastes sweeter than the perfect straight ones from the store. Pickling something like that just feels right, like you're saving the misfits from getting tossed.
