Floating shelf monitor stand switch after a backache week
I used to stack books and old lumber to get my monitor to eye level, worked fine until last month when my neck was killing me after a 50 hour week. So I built a simple floating shelf from a 2x6 and some heavy brackets, mounted it right to the studs. Now the monitor sits at the right height and I got back a ton of desk space for my soldering station. Has anyone else dumped their cinder block approach for something wall mounted? How did you handle the wobble if you have a heavy monitor?
