Just realized my monitor arm saved me 3 square feet of desk space

Measured my old setup last week because I was curious. The monitor stand was taking up basically a whole corner. Swapped to a $35 clamp arm from Amazon and my desk feels twice as big. I never thought about the actual footprint before, but it was like 18 by 10 inches. Now I can actually fit my keyboard tray and a coffee mug without everything touching. Anyone else measure their desk space after switching to an arm?
