Monitor arm vs stacked boxes, my 3 hour mistake
I spent a whole evening trying to balance my monitor on stacked textbooks and a cutting board, took 3 hours of constant re-leveling before I gave up and ordered a $28 arm... but now I wonder if drilling into my desk was actually worth it vs just building a simple riser from scraps. Has anyone else burned way too long on a janky fix before going the boring route?

Stacked boxes and a cutting board, been there, mine collapsed after two days and almost took out my coffee mug.
