Stick drift fix: did you go with hall effect sensors or just swap the whole joystick module?

I swapped to hall effect joysticks on my Xbox controller for $12 and it fixed the drift, but now the center feels a little wobbly compared to the stock ones I pulled out - anybody else run into that and stick with hall effect anyway?

Got the wobbly center too. I just tightened the thumbstick screws a tiny bit and it helped a lot, but it never feels quite as solid as the originals. I still kept hall effect though, haven't had drift since.

Nah man @gonzalez.rowan, I actually disagree here. Tightening those screws can mess with the tension too much and make the stick feel stiff or uneven over time. Hall effect is great for no drift but that mushy center feel just kills the precision for me in shooters.
