My backyard bench project turned out okay despite the warped wood

I was really annoyed with how the wood pieces kept bending wrong. Spent a whole afternoon fighting to get them to sit flat. Found an old clamp in my garage that helped hold it all together. After the glue dried, the bench actually looks nice and sturdy. Felt good to finish it without tossing the wood.

Actually, letting wood dry out fully first would have helped with that warp. It's a common headache when lumber hasn't acclimated. Still, great job getting it solid in the end.

Yeah I saw someone mention moisture meters can help avoid that whole mess. Kinda wish I'd checked mine first. Might save the headache next time.

My buddy built a whole tabletop without checking his wood. It looked perfect for a week, then one leg lifted a full inch off the floor. A cheap meter would have shown his stock was way too wet.
