Rental flip guy told me my 2x4 wall bracing was overkill, guess what happened

He was putting up drywall on an 8 foot wall with no temporary bracing and the studs bowed so bad the sheetrock gap was a quarter inch at the top, and when I asked why he didn't brace it he just shrugged and said 'renters ain't gonna measure,' so has anyone else run into builders who skip the simple stuff just to save 20 minutes?

The obvious fix is just a couple of 2x4s tacked across the studs, that takes five minutes and saves you a whole redo. Sounds like that guy was more worried about his timeline than doing the job right, which is how you end up with crooked walls and angry renters. Next time hand him a level and a brace, then watch him figure it out.
