Found a cheap way to test groove depth without a microscope

I spent like 6 months ruining blanks because my depth was all over the place. Turns out a simple USB microscope from Amazon for $25 shows you the cut profile clear as day, totally changed my results. Anyone else use something weird to check their cuts?

Got a carpenters pencil myself once, @miles798, and it made the groove look like a canyon.

Wait that's just a regular microscope not checking the actual groove depth.
