TIL the pool noodle aisle at my Dollar Tree is 6 feet long, and that is exactly enough to insulate my whole AC unit pipe
So last Tuesday I'm standing in the Dollar Tree on 5th in my town, and I count 14 pool noodles stacked in a bin by the seasonal stuff. I only grabbed 3 of them for a buck each because my window AC pipe was sweating all over the floor and my landlord said it was my problem. Wrapped the pipe with the noodles sliced down the middle and held shut with zip ties, and now no more puddles after 2 weeks of running it. My neighbor came over and asked if I bought a real insulation kit, which felt pretty good. Anyone else use noodles for something besides the pool, or am I the only one raiding that bin in July?
