Turned a $3 shower caddy into a hanging planter rack after my basil kept dying on the sill
My apartment only gets light in one spot, so I zip tied two dollar store shower caddies upside down to a tension rod and hung them in the window. Six weeks later the basil is huge and I spent $8 total instead of the $45 wall mount I almost bought. Anyone else hanging stuff with caddies, or do you have a better trick for tiny windows?
Ugh, the basil dying on the windowsill thing is way too real, mine always got crispy no matter what I did. Using a tension rod is genius because you don't put holes in the wall, which my landlord would kill me over. I gave up on plants for a while after losing like three rounds of herbs, so hearing yours is huge six weeks later gives me hope. Gonna steal this for sure.
