Appreciation post: My drafters scale beat my digital one for a big layout

I had to decide between using my old steel scale or the digital measuring app for a 40 foot wall layout last Tuesday in Akron. The app kept glitching on the concrete floor reflections, so I grabbed the trusty 6 foot scale and marked everything by hand. Turned out the tape was 1/16 off over the full span, which would've messed up all the studs if I'd trusted it. Do you guys still hand measure for big jobs, or has anyone found a reliable digital setup that doesn't fight you?
