Ran into my old mentor at the supply house in Tacoma and he said something that stuck with me

We were grabbing coffee and he asked if I still drew my first full set of details by hand before modeling. I admitted I hadn't in years, just jump straight into CAD. He said he still does it for every new project type, that the pencil forces you to think about the build, not just the software. It made me realize I might be losing some of the craft. Anyone else still keep a sketchbook for the tricky stuff?

Honestly, same. My notes from meetings look like a toddler got hold of a pen. I tried to read something I wrote last week and I couldn't even tell if it was English or some kind of secret code. My grocery lists are just a bunch of squiggles that only make sense for about five minutes.
