Oof the rusted hose clamp thing is so real. "Job that takes 15 minutes on YouTube" is basically a trap lol. I've noticed this is how everything works now, like the simpler a thing seems the more hidden BS you find. My buddy tried to swap a light fixture last week and ended up having to patch a hole in his ceiling because the old box was wired so janky the whole thing fell apart. It's like the universe just waits to punish you for trying to do anything yourself.

My cat knocked over my fiddle leaf fig last year, soil everywhere and I found a whole new growth point I'd missed. Sometimes the mess pays off.

Not totally sure about that though. DUI actually does use a solvent based adhesive on their older suits and the cheap kit stuff is basically just aquaseal which bonds fine to the right material if you prep it right. It's more about people not roughing up the surface enough or letting it cure long enough before testing it.

Went through three cheap blades in one afternoon cutting some pressure treated lumber that was still wet. Finally broke down and got a Diablo and i swear i almost cried at how smooth it cut. My wife walked in and asked why i was smiling at a saw blade like an idiot.
