Sheet metal guy convinced me to start using a spring-back tool on thin gauge

I was at a job site in Columbus last month fitting some 26 gauge duct and kept getting these stupid oil canning dents. A sparky walked by and said "try a spring-back tool instead of tapping it out flat." So I grabbed one from the truck and it fixed the panel in like 30 seconds without leaving hammer marks. Has anyone else found a weird tool that changed how they work with thin metal?

That oil canning is a real headache, glad you found a fix that works.

Dang, that's a GOOD find. It's funny how the simplest things end up being the biggest game changers. I think that's true for a lot of stuff not just tools. Like once you figure out the little hack for something you wonder how you ever lived without it.
