That time a logjam downstream cost me my weekend near Coos Bay

Last Tuesday I was running the cutterhead through muck when my intake screen just... stopped pulling. Took me an hour of cussing to realize a pile of storm driftwood had wedged against the cutter guard, not even my section. Had to shut down, wade out with a pike pole, and break it apart by hand in the rain. Three years running this stretch and I never checked beyond the ladder before I started. Anyone else ever clear debris off their cutter only to find the real problem was sitting twenty feet downstream?
