The channel by the old grain dock used to be clear for a full 8-foot draft.
We dredged it clean in 2021, but now it's silted up so bad you can't get a barge through there. The city started a big storm drain project upstream last spring and all that runoff is just dumping right into the water. How do you guys handle a situation where the source of the silt is a land-based project you can't control?

Document everything with photos and dates to show the change. We took that proof straight to the city's project manager and they had to adjust their runoff controls. It won't fix it overnight, but it got them to take responsibility.

Our HOA meeting last year proved @webb.derek is totally right about photos.

Take photos from the same spot every month to show the slow changes. Honestly, a simple folder on your phone sorted by date works better than any fancy system. It builds a clear story they can't ignore.
