Hung 62 sheets in a garage in Fresno last week and got 4 butt joints to line up, what do you use to keep them tight
Did a 3 car garage job in Fresno last week, 62 sheets total. Most of it went fine until I hit this one run where four butt joints stacked up in a row. I got them tight but it took me way longer than it should have, lots of tapping and re-fitting one board at a time.
I've tried backer strips and I've tried cutting the boards a hair long and forcing them, but neither one feels clean. What are you all doing to get butt joints to close up without fighting them for an hour? Or is this just something you eat on jobs like this?
