Noticed something at a remodel in Richmond that bugged me

I was helping on a full house remodel over on Grove Avenue in Richmond last month and I saw the GC just letting the new drywall stack lean against the wall in a damp basement for three days. By the time we went to hang it, the edges were all fuzzy and a few boards had this musty smell. Has anyone else run into a GC who doesn't get why you need to store boards flat and dry?

Moisture and drywall. What a combo. Sounds like that guy was asking for mold.

@thomas.piper should have just installed a dehumidifier and saved himself the trouble.
