Went to a "pre-loved" pop-up sale and walked out $300 lighter

So last Saturday I hit this warehouse sale in Charlotte that was supposed to be peak sustainability, people reselling all their barely used stuff. I went in thinking I'd grab a cheap chair for my office, maybe a lamp. Instead I walked out with a bread maker, a standing desk converter, and a vintage cooler that leaked water all over my truck bed on the way home. Total damage was $300, which is more than I spent on groceries this month. The worst part is I don't even bake bread and my landlord said no modifications to the desk setup. Why do I do this every time I see a "good deal" sign? Has anyone else gotten sucked into those pop-up resale events and instantly regretted it?
