Spent $22 on a rice cooker at a garage sale in Spokane and it does half my weeknight dinners now
Tbh I used to think rice cookers were a waste since I can boil rice in a pot, but this $22 garage sale one has me tossing in frozen veggies and a can of beans at 6pm and eating by 6:30, so what cheap kitchen thing did you write off as useless until you finally used it?
Wait you paid $22 for a garage sale rice cooker and it actually works?? That blows my mind because every used one I've ever seen at a sale looks like someone dropped it down a flight of stairs. The lid is always cracked or the nonstick is scratched to hell or it smells weird inside. And you're saying you just dump frozen veggies and a can of beans in there and dinner is done in 30 minutes? That's wild to me because my pot of rice takes like 25 minutes on the stove and I still have to watch it so it doesn't burn on the bottom.
