Got told my wire pulling technique was causing damage, changed it up and now my pulls are way cleaner.

Happens to the best of us. Good on you for actually listening to the feedback instead of getting defensive. A small tweak in how you do things can make a huge difference in the final result. It's satisfying when you finally get it right.
