inUnpopular opinion: my indoor fig tree got sunburned from a south window
Think most people don't gradually adjust like that though.

inTIL about password managers from a coffee shop scare
People really don't get how bad reusing passwords is until something bad happens... That guy at Starbucks learned the hard way. Password managers seem complicated at first but once you set them up it's a huge relief. I use Bitwarden too and it's crazy how many logins I have that I just forgot about over the years. Sleeping better at night is worth the little bit of effort for sure.

inTook me 3 months to figure out my Wi-Fi was fighting with my monitor arm
Oh boy, yes I have been there. It's honestly kind of funny how stubborn some devices are about that extra inch. I swear my old router would only work if it was exactly 4.2 inches from the edge of my desk, no more no less. Moving it just a tiny bit really does seem to make a difference sometimes. I think it's because the signal bounces off walls and furniture in weird ways. Your mileage may vary but it's worth a shot if nothing else is working.

inMy smart plug fried itself trying to run a space heater
My 1500 watt space heater has been running off a power strip for three years now and nothing's happened. I get that technically you're not supposed to, but I think people online blow this one way out of proportion. The strip is rated for 15 amps and the heater only pulls about 12.5. As long as you check the ratings it's fine.

inAlways thought two-factor authentication was overkill until my Gmail got hit last month
Did you see what happened to my buddy Mark? He thought the same thing, strong password and all, and someone got into his email last month. Had to spend a whole weekend cleaning up his accounts and resetting passwords.
