I finally noticed the shift in panel schedules at job sites

Went from handwritten stickers to QR codes on every panel I touched in Austin over the last 6 months. Customers actually scan them now to check breakers, has anyone else seen inspectors push back on that yet?

Did you see the same thing start happening with the bigger outfits first, or was it the small shops making the switch? I'll be honest, I rolled my eyes when QR codes started showing up on panels, felt like one more thing to deal with on a ladder. But then a guy on my crew scanned one and had the whole panel layout on his phone in two seconds, no squinting at some faded sticker from 2009. Two inspectors around here have already started asking for the digital version, so it seems like the pushback is more about who updates the info than the code itself. Long as somebody keeps it current, I'm sold on it now.
