Used to preheat my soldering iron for 10 minutes, now it's 30 seconds with a TS100

I used to wait forever for my cheap Hakko clone to heat up every time I needed to fix a board. Switched to a TS100 last year and it gets hot in under a minute. Why did I put up with that slow warmup for so long? Has anyone else found a quicker iron that actually holds temp well for fine pitch work?

Wait, you actually preheated for TEN minutes? That's insane, I would have lost my mind. The TS100 really is a game changer though.

Ten minutes of preheating does feel like forever when you're just standing there waiting. But come on, it's not like you're dying or anything lol. People act like waiting an extra few minutes is the worst thing in the world when old soldering irons took way longer than that. The TS100 is definitely nice for its size and heat up time, but I wouldn't call it a total game changer or anything. It's just a tool that does what it's supposed to do, same as any other decent iron out there.
