That fancy door operator I laughed at actually saved my back

I spent 12 years swearing by the old hydraulic swing door operators, thought the new linear motor ones were just a gimmick. Then I had to replace one in a busy office lobby downtown, and the whole job took me half the time since I didn't have to wrestle with a heavy solenoid pack. Any of you guys made the switch or still sticking with the old stuff?

Hang on, is this really a thing people say about door work? I mean, I've hung a few hollow cores in my time and yeah, my shoulders got a little tight, but "saved my back" seems like a stretch. Seems like you'd be complaining more about pinched fingers or a bad shim job than your spine. Unless you're hauling solid oak fire doors up three flights of stairs every day, I have a hard time believing your lumbar is the main victim here. Maybe people just say it to make themselves sound tougher than they are.
