I used to push extractions way too hard on every client. Here is why I stopped.

I used to think deep pressure meant better results, but after 3 clients got bruised and complained, I realized light, slow passes work way better for clearing pores. Has anyone else had to change their extraction technique after getting burned by bad reactions?

Yeah I had to learn that the hard way too. I was pressing down SO hard on a client's nose and they ended up with these red marks that took days to go away. Now I do one slow pass with a bit of oil on the skin, wait 30 seconds, then come back for a second pass. That second pass gets way more out without any of the trauma.

oh man, @kai602 that double pass method is genius. my friend is an esthetician and she had a client come in with really stubborn congestion on her chin, so she went in hard with extractions. the client ended up with these dark purple bruises that looked like hickeys for a week. she felt so bad she switched to a slow, gentle approach with a bit of oil too, and now her clients actually come back without being scared of the chair.
