Pro tip: A client in Austin taught me a simple trick for calming rosacea flare-ups
She came in for a facial last month and mentioned her dermatologist said to keep a spray bottle of plain, cold green tea in the fridge. I tried it on her during her steam, and the redness visibly settled in about 90 seconds. What's your go-to quick fix for sudden facial redness?

Whoa wait, hold up. The client came in for a facial AND the dermatologist told her to spray green tea on her face? That's wild. I've heard of people drinking it for inflammation but never thought of putting it on your skin like that. I'm honestly surprised a derm would suggest something so simple instead of pushing some expensive prescription cream. Did she say if she has to brew it fresh every day or can she keep a batch in the fridge for a few days?

Green tea spray sounds genius, I'll have to try that. My quick fix is keeping a cheap aloe vera gel in the fridge. When my face gets red and hot, I slather a thin layer on clean skin. The cold gel feels amazing and the redness usually calms down in a few minutes. It's way cheaper than most fancy calming products.

My sister in Denver swears by the green tea spray trick too. I keep a cheap bottle of witch hazel in the fridge for the same reason. Splashing some of that on a cotton pad and holding it on my cheeks works every time. It's just basic and cheap, which is all you really need when your face is on fire.
