Shoutout to the cheap little fan I got for my wax warmer

I was doing a leg wax last week and the wax kept cooling too fast between strips, which was annoying for me and my customer. I saw a tiny USB desk fan at the dollar store and figured why not. I put it on low about a foot away from my pot, and it cut my wait time between applications in half, like from 30 seconds to 15. It keeps the wax at the perfect spreadable temp without me having to reheat it constantly. Anyone else have a small tweak like this that saved a bunch of time during a service?

My old boss at Serenity Spa would have fired me for even thinking about a fan near wax. She said any air movement risks blowing dust or hair into the pot, which is a huge sanitation no-no. That extra 15 seconds of wait time is there for a reason, to let the wax cool to a safe temp for the skin. I get the time crunch, but cutting corners on temp control seems like asking for a burn complaint.

A fan on low is a game changer, right? Oscar_lane50 makes a fair point about dust, but my setup is in a clean room with no open windows. The real trick is distance and speed. Mine barely stirs the air, just enough to stop that skin layer from forming on top. It lets me keep the wax workable without rushing the cool-down period.

Actually, a low fan prevents overheating...
