Spent $350 on a 'premium' facial steamer that broke in 4 months

I splurged on the Medixa Pro Steamer from a beauty supply site thinking it would be a game changer for my extractions. After maybe 30 uses the heating element just stopped working and customer service ghosted me. Anyone else get burned by overpriced equipment from those reseller sites?

Honestly I used to think you get what you pay for but not anymore.

Has there been a specific product category where you saw the quality drop off? I feel like for some things, like tools or shoes, spending more still usually gets you a better build. But I guess with electronics or fast fashion, the price tag doesn't always mean it'll last.
