Lost my whole damn grocery list cause of a phone update glitch

Went to the store last Tuesday and opened my notes app and my whole list was just gone. I spent like 15 minutes standing in the aisle trying to remember what I needed for tacos. Turns out the latest iOS update wiped out some of my saved notes. Anyone else have their phone do something dumb after an update?

Buddy of mine had the exact same thing happen with his grocery list after a Samsung update. He stood in the freezer aisle for twenty minutes just staring at the ice cream, trying to remember if he needed cheese. Ended up just calling his wife and she had to read the whole list off the fridge magnet.

That thing about calling his wife from the freezer aisle hits close to home because it's the same with how we just trust our phones and apps to remember stuff for us now. The problem is these companies push updates that are supposed to help but they break the basic stuff we actually use every day, and we're left standing there feeling stupid. It's like the more features they pile on, the less reliable the phone becomes for the simple "hey what did I need at the store" kind of thing.
