Blew $40 on a fancy pie crust cutter and it was a total bust
I saw this stainless steel crust cutter at a kitchen store in Portland for $40 - looked all fancy with 5 blades. Thought it would make my grandma's apple pie crust perfect but it just ripped everything to shreds. Stuck with my old $2 fork from the thrift shop - that thing never lets me down. Anyone else waste money on kitchen gadgets that just didn't work?

Man, that's the story of my life with kitchen gadgets. It's like we all fall for the idea that spending more money means better results, but half the time the simple stuff works just fine.

Spending more money means better results" - yeah, mostly true for ingredients though. A cheap knife can cut just as good as an expensive one if you keep it sharp.
