My grandma's weird casserole actually won the potluck

I was always skeptical of her tuna and potato chip casserole but I brought it to the church dinner last Saturday and got three people asking for the recipe. Has anyone else had a family dish they avoided for years turn out to be a hit?

Three separate people asked for my aunt's "mystery meatloaf" recipe last year at the family reunion and I still can't believe it. It has crushed up saltines and a can of cream of mushroom soup in it, literally the most 1950s thing ever. I had been dodging that dish at gatherings for like a decade and a half. Now I'm the one who has to bring it to every holiday dinner, go figure.

Saw a YouTube video that said cream of mushroom was basically 50s glue.
