Overheard my mother-in-law say I was ruining her grandma's pie crust recipe and she was right

Well, she's not wrong. The first time I attempted her recipe, the crust looked like a topographical map of the moon and tasted like cardboard soaked in butter. I've since learned to just nod politely and buy the frozen Pillsbury ones before she visits.
