Heard a farrier at a clinic say 'a crooked shoe can make a horse lame in 20 minutes'

Watched him pull a shoe that was barely twisted and the horse went from three-legged to sound right there in the parking lot - has anyone else had a shoe shift just a tiny bit and cause big problems fast?

You said "happens faster than you'd think" and that's the part that gets me. I remember reading about that property changing hands and then the whole thing went sideways in what felt like a week. It's scary how one bad decision or a chain of small mistakes can just snowball. Makes you wonder how many people are living on a house of cards and don't even know it.
