Heads up on those new composite fence posts versus steel

I had to pick between the composite ones that promised no rust and the standard steel posts for a big job in Seattle last month. Went with the composite to avoid corrosion, but they flexed way too much in the wind, and now I'm redoing a whole section with steel. Anyone else run into this flex issue with the newer materials?

My neighbor in Tacoma used composite posts for a garden trellis last spring. They sagged under the weight of some climbing roses by August. Makes you wonder if they're better for lighter jobs.

Guess they're not made for real plants then.
