That gym sock smell had me ready to toss mine too, but I just pushed it down and waited it out.

Day 5 is the worst. That's when it smells like a gym sock and you're convinced you've created a biohazard. Every first timer goes through that panic, it's basically a rite of passage. The trick is to just let it sit and trust the process even when every instinct says to dump it. Once you push through that ugly phase, the flavor starts to come together and it's all worth it.
