Found out my credit card was charging me $15 a month for a 'benefit' I never used
I was looking through my bank statements from the past year and noticed this random $15 fee from my Visa card. Called customer service and they said it was for some roadside assistance plan I apparently enrolled in when I got the card back in 2020. I've literally never used it or even known about it. Has anyone else dealt with sneaky monthly fees like this and actually gotten them refunded?

And the worst part is when you finally call to cancel, they act like they're doing you a favor. I still have a $2 monthly charge from an old AOL account I forgot I even had.

Isn't it wild how these companies just count on people not noticing small charges? I've started seeing this same pattern everywhere, not just with credit cards but with phone bills, streaming services, even my gym membership. They sneak in these tiny fees because they know most people won't take the time to go through every line item. I found a $5 "account maintenance fee" on my bank account that I never agreed to last year. It's like they're betting on us being too busy or lazy to catch it, and honestly they're usually right.
